Dinner with History: Thomas Corwin at the Golden Lamb

Dinner with History: Thomas Crowin

Golden Lamb continues its historical dinner series at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 31 with a night dedicated to impresario Thomas Corwin, aka “the Wagon Boy”, a political leader who grew up in Lebanon and went on to serve as the 15th Governor of Ohio, U.S. Senator, and as Secretary of the Treasury. To reserve a seat, call (513) 932-5065.

Dinner with History: Life and Wit of Thomas Corwin will include a three-course menu from the Golden Lamb culinary team, and an appearance from Golden Lamb Historian John Zimkus. Mr. Zimkus will spin tales of Corwin’s time at the Golden Lamb, and his days of outspoken and witty leadership in the American Civil War period and his unsuccessful attempts to appease the Confederate states and avoid the war. The menu includes:

Entrée

Braised Carroll Creek Farms pork pot roast with crispy three cheese fried polenta, rainbow Swiss chard, all-natural beef stock

Decadence

Reservations are required and can be made by calling Golden Lamb at (513) 932-5065. The cost is $45 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity.
