 Red Hot Blues Run during the city’s annual Blues Festival

Fund-raising run to be held held during blues fest

The City of Lebanon Parks and Recreation Committee will host the 10th annual Red Hot Blues Run during the city’s annual Lebanon Blues Festival held on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m.

The event, which will include a 5K, 10K and 15K run, will begin downtown in front of the Golden Lamb and continue along the Lebanon-Countryside YMCA Trail. There will also be a free kids run beginning at 6 p.m.

Runners of all abilities are encouraged to participate, and each runner will receive $5 in “Blues Bucks” that can be used at the Lebanon Blues Festival that will be going on before and after the run. This event helps raise money for improvements to the city’s park system.

The cost of the event is $30 for pre-registration and $35 for race-day registration. It includes an event T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for the top three male and female runners from each category.
