Our 198th Christmas celebration begins on December 1st with all
the traditional trappings that have made The Golden Lamb known nationwide
for holiday celebrations. Relax in our lobby and listen to Christmas
carols on our century old Regina Music Box. Sip a cup of the Innkeepers
own eggnog as you warm yourself by our lobby fire. It all begins
December 1st at Ohio’s oldest Inn.
Our Barker Christmas Tree
This tree on our second floor, has delighted young and old alike
for over two decades. Filled with handmade ornaments made by the
Barker Family of Oxford, Ohio. It is the only Christmas tree we
display year round and is not be missed.
Our Feather Christmas Tree
This tree was surely a part of a winter wonderland of long ago.
This turn of the century artificial tree features a rare collection
of late 19th and early 20th century ornaments. The tree, made from
actual chicken feathers will be on display throughout the holiday
season.
Christmas Is . . . Tradition
It is the time of year when Peace-On-Earth and Good-Will-Towards-Men
are basic evidences of man’s progress toward the goal of all
humanity. When families gather to celebrate togetherness . . . when
each year makes a milestone with recollections of past Christmases
and hopes for those yet to come. There is no single word in our
language that means more to more people, young and old, than CHRISTMAS.
For many years there has been no more salutary greeting of happiness
than the simple “Merry Christmas!”
